Michael Fermin

Alumnus Michael Fermin has earned three degrees from Broward College and two certifications. His academic path demonstrated a laser-like focus as he pursued his passion for Network and System Administration and Information Technology.

Parallel with his academic path, Michael has served in several professional roles requiring increasing amounts of expertise and leadership skills. He has excelled in roles of systems administration, technical engineering, customer success manager and today he serves as a Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer at the cyber security company Palo Alto Networks.

About his time at Broward College and its impact on his path, he says: “My time at Broward college was crucial as it gave me the foundation that I needed to pursue my career. I specifically remember all the late nights labs and Professor Brian Faris always making himself available to does students that wanted to learn and growth. I’m extremely proud to have called Broward College as my home school and I’m thankful for all the opportunities it’s given me.”

Michael is keen to share his passion and insight about careers in cybersecurity with any students or alumni who are interested and invites them to reach out to him on Linkedin.
